Backpack Lunch Ministry

Back Pack Lunch Ministry – Summit Church is involved in a ministry opportunity entitled the Back Pack Lunch Ministry. In partnership with the Second Harvest Food Bank we prepare weekend lunch bags for some of the elementary aged school children at the Robison Elementary School. This ministry will run through the school year. Each week, food items are picked up and transported to the school, unloaded, individual bags are packed, and stored at Robison Elementary school for their distribution weekly.

Each week 4 to 8 people are needed to serve in this important ministry. Currently the pick and transport of the food items is being handled. Groups or individuals who wish to serve will need to pack the individual bags on Wednesdays at the school. This is an ideal way to serve for a variety of groups in the church or for individuals who are looking for a place to get involved in missions.
